Who we are
The Crimson Accords is a fiction project produced by Ignis Umbra and Lauren Archer. Reach us at coordinator@ignisumbra.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you create an account. That is the only thing an account requires.
- Your name, only if you sign in with Google and Google shares it with us.
- Anything you post — comments and replies, along with when you posted them.
- Basic request logs kept by our hosting provider, which include IP addresses.
We do not ask for your date of birth, your address, or your payment details. We never see payment details even if you support us financially — that happens on Patreon, not here.
Why we collect it
To let you sign in, to attribute what you post, and to keep the site working. Nothing else. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Who else processes it
- Amazon Web Services — accounts and sign-in (Cognito), email delivery (SES), and hosting.
- Cloudflare — domain name resolution.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google, in which case Google tells us your email address and name.
- Patreon — only if you link a Patreon account, and only to confirm that you are a supporter.
What is stored in your browser
When you are signed in we keep your sign-in tokens in your browser's local storage so you do not have to sign in repeatedly. Signing out removes them. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Your account and posts stay until you ask us to remove them. Request logs are kept for a short period and then discarded.
Removing your data
Email us and we will delete your account and, if you want, everything you posted. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold. We do not charge for either and we do not require a reason.
Children
This site is not intended for children. Please do not create an account if you are under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so on the site rather than quietly editing this page.
